ABOUT ME

Hi there!
We are a young couple living and working in Helsinki city. Anni was born in the countryside, but now has made home here with Miikka, who was born and raised in Helsinki. Anni works with costumes, in theatre and movies. And Miikka works in different fields of production in movies, tv, etc.
Miikka loves his hometown and knows a lot about it, and has made a list for his girlfriend, so she can visit different places and learn to love it too.

PHILOSOPHY

We have learnt to take my life as it comes. We try not to worry too much about the future and just take things as they happen. Positive approach may be sometimes difficult, but it's really the only way to be content with your life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Anni spent a month couchsurfing in July 2012, and now that we have our own place, we would like to host too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Anni did her first Interrail last July and that was also the first time couchsurfing. Miikka also visited Italy with her to surf for a bit.

Centres d'intérêt

We both watch a lot of movies and listen to music. Anni dances in a traditional jazzdance group. In the summer we both bicycle around the city a lot and are planning doing also longer cycling trips (if we have time).

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Movies: no matter the genre if they're good ones. Stuff from Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, Wes Anderson, Coen brothers.. and sometimes a weird finnish one too. :)
Music: We consume many types of music, and always open for new experiences in that field.

Anni: My taste in books depends a lot on my mood, but some of my favourite authors: Mario Vargas Llosa, Hunter S. Thompson, Chuck Palahniuk, J.R.R. Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, William Gibson, Cormac McCarthy, Douglas Adams.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Anni:Oh, during the past couple of years so many amazing things have happened to me, but this time I'll say this one magical moment. I was snorkeling with my friend at Lady Elliot Island, which is off the East coast off Australia and surrounded by barrier reef. There diving among the reef we saw many amazing things, but the nicest was to swim along with a sea tortoise and to touch it's shell.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Anni: I can teach some dancesteps, like charleston or lindy hop. :)
And i'm a vegetarian(occasionally eat fish), but I dare say even meat eaters will appreciate my cooking.
