Overview
About Me
I'm 26 and moved to Freiburg, Germany last year to start school again. I like to travel, try new things and enjoy time with people. I love to laugh and be outside. I have been moving around the last couple years, and I have had fun meeting new people everywhere I go!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've used couchsurfing while traveling with friends who already had accounts of their own and I've always had great experiences. I'm super easy-going, so I find couchsurfing a really nice way to travel and experience a place. I appreciate having the connection to a person from the area and, in my experience, people on couchsurfing are very easy to get along with and they enhance my travel. It's also a nice, funny way to get to know somebody completely new.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like lots of music and really love to hear live music, especially if it's good for dancing! A classic band I will always love is Modest Mouse. Other musicians I like are Kanye, Sylvan Esso, Kendrick, Why?, Glass Animals, Frank Ocean, Lady Lamb, Chance the Rapper. I like to hear new things that my friends are listening to also. I love to listen to music and I wish I could play, but still don't. I'm dreaming of learning the harmonica.
I always like to have a book to read. A book that I read recently that I really liked was Siddhartha.
I mostly like to watch movies with other people. One of my favorite movies is Billy Elliot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I was going to my friend's apartment for the first time in Boston, Massachusetts during a cold winter. It was the morning and I walked about a half an hour to get there, following written directions, and when I got there I realized I had forgotten my phone and couldn't contact him to get in the building. Luckily, a man left the apartment building shortly after I arrived, so I got inside. Then I looked down the hall at all of the unmarked doors, like "fuck." I walked down the first floor hallway and didn't feel inspired to knock on any doors, so I climbed to the second floor. At the end of the hallway I heard some music coming from an apartment and listened closer. It sounded like it could be something my friend would like, so I knocked. Carter opened the door- and it was amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching, learning, and sharing are all important! Sharing is loving. I'm not sure what I can teach, but I am happy to learn about anything. I especially love to learn about cooking new things, and cooking and sharing go hand in hand.
