To enjoy life and meet a whole lot of interesting people along the way
- I am big fan of people. As such, I enjoy good conversation, story-sharing, random outings etc.
- It is easy for me to get starry-eyed when I think of all the things I want to do and places I want to go. (...gradually working my way down the list.)
- Swing dancing, specifically the Lindy Hop, is one of my favorite things in the whole world. As it would happen, dancing has created one of my favorite ways to travel. The schedule for various city's dance nights helps to give shape to a lot of my travel planning.
- I like old, stylish things.
Enjoy life; bring joy to others...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had lovely times as both a host and a surfer, but these days (with a day job and all) I'm more of a host. I live about a 10 minute bicycle ride from the French Quarter in the upper Treme, and I host whenever possible. I actually have a lot of friends/family members pass through town, so many times my couch is already spoken for.
Couchsurfing has proved itself to be an amazing institution...speaking from the perspective of both a host and a surfer. Aside from travelling for dance events, couchsurfing is my favorite way to experience local culture and meet wonderful people in the process.
dancing, traveling, cooking, teaching, music of all sorts, literature, architecture, museums, festivals in parks...etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Films: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Life is Beautiful, Some Like it Hot, Cloud Atlas

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked in an orphanage and a leper colony in Delhi a few summers ago...it was intense.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can definitely teach you some dance steps...and then take you out to some local venues if you're up for it :)
I am also a pretty good cook (if I do say so myself.) I quite enjoy sharing meals and subsequently conversations with people.
