ABOUT ME

I love to laugh. If you can't laugh, you can't love. i think it's important to let people into your life, even if you consider yourself an independent person. I love learning new things and remembering useless trivia. I feel I've wasted too many minutes sitting around doing nothing and it's about time I got out and explored the world around me.

PHILOSOPHY

To take life one day at a time and make every relationship count. You never know when a kind deed will come back to help you in the end. I believe that what you take in is what will eventually come out. If you surround yourself with good things, you can't help but want to give back.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to live, learn and explore. I want to give people a warm and safe place to stay--a home away from home so to speak. By joining Couchsurfing, I know I will be able to connect with a broad spectrum of people and spread good cheer and a welcoming smile to any and all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though this site and organization is a new experience for me, I've definitely been the recipient of a helping hand when it comes to needing a place to stay while traveling. I've also lent out a couch/bed or two for the weary friend and fellow traveler.
Once I traveled to Colorado with a theatre group. We didn't have much money and fortunately for us, we arranged a stay with the most friendly strangers every night we were gone. They welcomed us into their homes and provided us with fantastic meals and good company. It was one of the greatest trips I had ever had. I will never forget it.

Interests

I love snowcones and I have an addiction to buying cheap movies. I like to watch any kind of outdoor sports except golf. I can read for hours on end if the book is good. I like to travel, I just haven't been able to get out as much as I would like.

Music, Movies, and Books

There is not even close to enough room to list the sheer amount of movies and books that I love. I'm pretty much up for watching or reading anything as long as it's not scary or evil. Again, in with the good, out with the good. I have an affinity towards science fiction and humorous novels and movies, but the occasional romantic comedy will catch my eye on a slow day. I'm pretty open to any kind of music. It really just depends on the song.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Carlsbad Caverns was one of the coolest places I've been through. Traveling thousands of feet below the earth and witnessing all of the great stone formations was amazingly beautiful. Nature can never be outdone when it comes to man-made items.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a great cook and I would love to show anyone who is willing how to make pies, cakes, dinner, pretty much anything you can eat. I'm an expert fisherwoman for bass, but I've never fly fished before. I'm learning how to use a long bow. I can paint and make jewelry. I enjoy learning new things--crafts, trades, reading--I am definitely a hands-on learner/teacher.
