About Me

ABOUT ME

I am currently living in Hanoi, Vietnam. I have been traveling around the world teaching English since 2013 and don't see any signs of stopping. I have loved the opportunities that have been presented to me and continue to take every single one that comes my way. I am open to new experiences and will get as many as I can in this lifetime.

PHILOSOPHY

If it seems right, it probably is. I just try to do what I want to do. Fun is really important.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have mostly been hosted and have had an amazing time with most of my hosts. I really love the community couchsurfing creates and I have the best experiences in a city when I'm couchsurfing. My hosts have always showed me the very best parts of their cities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Hamburg. From there I went on to couchsurf in Amsterdam, Zurich, Belgrade, Istanbul, Sofia, Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg, Vaduz, Munich, Basel, Bern, Vilnius, and Washington D.C.

Interests

I enjoy learning languages and learning from others. I enjoy reading, traveling, riding my bicycle, going out and having a good ol' time, snowboarding, roller derby, and spending time with fun people.

Meeting people is one of my biggest goals while I am living abroad and I just love to get to know people over a few drinks, in a pub/bar, a raging party, or just sitting at home relaxing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually don't watch movies unless they're comedies. I watch too much TV. I enjoy reading classics and books written by comedians.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most amazing travel story would be from the time I went to Chiapas and spent time with some Zapatistas. It was life changing and I want to experience that trip all over again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have many odd skills because I have had so many different types of jobs (from edible landscape manager, cabinetry assistant, barista, dishwasher, costumer for a dance group, weaver, etc). I can talk about Mountaintop Removal, The Zapatistas in Mexico, and the South forever. I love drinking games and can teach you some of those too... actually, I would be more than happy to teach you drinking games.

As for learning, languages is my top priority. I love to hear about history.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you a lot of fun games. I really love playing games and have a lot of great ones. I also enjoy cooking and we could do that together or I could make an amazing soup.
