See the moment
I'm a twenty something girl wondering around, enjoying life right now in Finland. For me life is about trying to see the little things around, to catch the moments and feelings and keep them, maybe even learn something from them (and then forget some of them, but I guess that's normal - we're constantly changing) :)
For me traveling is having a little piece of some other life for a moment - I really like to discover new cultures and habits and even though I don't think we're ever able to understand other countries and their mentality completely, I want to try. By doing that I also (maybe...) learn something from my own culture.
... and to not make things too deep, I also really enjoy just normal stuff like having lots of coffee or tea, rainy days, sunny days, foggy days, clothes with pockets to put your hands in them, honest people, fries with mayo and ketchup and trying all the beds in Ikea.
Life has long been
and only for few it's a
road less often taken.
-Anni Sinnemäki, one of my favourite poets (sorry about the bad translation!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm living with five other people, so we have to agree on the visitors - but feel free to send a request, when we're not too busy we're happy to have guests at our house!
I've surfed couple of times now and I'm so grateful I've discovered this way of traveling - it really brings people together and makes you want to give your share as well.
I would like to do more
playing the piano, singing and I would also like to learn how to DJ :)

Music, Movies, and Books
It's always so difficult to pick just some things - but here's a brief list
Movies: directors like Almodovar and Woody Allen inspire me, and I love Lynch's Twin Peaks!!
Music: everything's that's well made, but right now I'm listening a lot to Florence + the Machine, Moby, finnish group called Rubik... I really enjoy discovering new music and going to concerts, almost any kind!
Books: I like Nick Hornby, a finnish poet Anni Sinnemäki and oooh there are so many books I still need to read - again, it's difficult to pick just some.

The best pancake ever (in oven):
8dl of milk
1 dl of sugar
1 tsp of salt
4dl of wheat flour
1 tsp of baking soda
50 gr of butter
Mix the eggs and the milk and the sugar plus the salt in a bowl. Mix separately flour and the soda and then add to the egg-milk-thingy. Melt the butter (let it cool down a bit) and add to the batter.
Heat the oven to 225C, pour the batter onto a oven plate thing (what is it, don't know the name...) and bake until it gets some colour on the surface. Eat with some jam, nutella, lemon and sugar or fresh berries or ice cream or just plain (also great when having a hangover!!)
