Scheduling my time between work, hobbies, travelling and studies!
Are you in need of a couch or just good tips what do in Helsinki? Ask away!
Shortly about me:
I live with my girlfriend and three cats so it's a zoo sometimes. I have hosted a few people and been hosted myself as well. It's always been a very good experience.
I work in youth department. In my free-time I like to visit culture events, hike in nature, go to gigs and I'm learning to roller skate again. Also movies, travelling, enviromental activism and human rights are close to my heart.
I enjoy a good conversation. :)
Tambien me puedes escribir en español si quieres! <3
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted and surfed. I'd like to start spending time in some Cs events as well.
Met great new people so really good.
Shared stories. Laughed.
CS is a good way to meet people who probably share same interests and values, help out, have new friends around the World and learn a thing or two.
Culture, history, travelling, politics and human/animal rights, music, friendship, coffee, arts and crafts, food & wine, adventures... getting lost and finding something new and wonderful.
- social action
- outdoor activities
- bungee jumping

Horseback riding in Sahara desert, wow.

I can show you places if I have the time.
For example Seurasaari which is a island and a district in Helsinki known for its open air museum and old, mainly wooden buildings. This is a nice place for a walk and piknik.
Then there is the district of Kallio, near Hakaniemi which is the most densely populated areas in Finland. Kallio is an area preferred by students and artists. Kallio (and Harju, which is often considered a part of Kallio) also has, more than any other district in Helsinki, a reputation as a "bohemian" and liberal area. The area has a heterogeneous population and a large number of bars.
I also have to mention Uutela, which is located on the east side of Helsinki, near the last metro station Vuosaari. From the metro station you can either walk (5-10min) or take the busline 90K. Uutela is situated by the sea, and it has a small idyllic harbor where regular people have their boats. Uutela also has a small coffee shop “Kaunis Kampela” where they offer traditional pancakes and salmon soup. This area is known for hikers and outdoor people because of it's beautiful landscape.
