About Me
ABOUT ME
I am currently living and working in Portland Oregon. I work for stop motion animated feature films, making tiny costumes. I love Portland for its weirdness. I like that people here are so laid back but then realize their ideas. In Germany people think too much about what one could do if the circumstances were just right. Here they just do it. I like that. It creates a very diverse and creative environment. And it makes my hippie self happy. I am very passionate about my work. I always think of things to do. Mostly craft related. I have always little projects going. At the moment l am into leather fabrication.
I do yoga, I meditate and l read a lot about all kinds of esoteric things. It became natural part of me. l keep it to myself though but love sharing thoughts on these topics with whom is interested. I travel because l want to meet people. Off the beaten tracks. Learn about cultures. Like really meeting them not just rushing through capturing all on camera for later to look at. Learning new things.
PHILOSOPHY

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling in the northern mountains of Thailand and spending some time with a hill tribe in the Chiang Rai province to learn traditional Thai Yoga Massage. That was awesome!
Teach, Learn, Share
This is difficult. For example... My grandma taught me how to knit. She was very patient and answered all my questions when l was 6 and she financed my hobby :) Later in life when l got into miniatures, l became a specialist in miniature knitting what eventually brought me to America. I dont know if l was here at that company if that had not taken my hobby to a new level. What l want to say is that you cant predict what you can use of what you come across. I think it is useful to stay open and follow what you like. Everything falls into place. l have all this gathered knowledge that gets useful from time to time. Not so much from what l learned at school really... one day someone sat in our kitchen talking about baking soda and its uses. Now we are cleaning the costumes with it. Turned out to be a great help. Anyway, l think everybody has to tell something and sometimes ist a short moment and a simple sentence that means a lot. Sharing is great. But if you want to hear more about textile design, stop motion animation, miniature costumes, travels through life, or have spiritual conversations... I am happy to share and learn from you :)
