Namaste! I’m Anoop — a lecturer of history by profession, a seeker of stories by passion. I was born and raised in Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest living cities, where the sacred and the everyday exist side by side. That early exposure to layered traditions and timeless rhythms shaped the way I see the world. Now living in Delhi, I continue to explore both the past and present — in books, in people, and in places.

As a solo traveler, I move not just across geography but through culture, memory, and meaning. I’m drawn to those quiet moments of connection: sharing tea with a stranger, hearing a personal story over a meal, or simply walking through a new place without a plan.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
For me, travel isn’t about ticking off destinations — it’s about experiencing the soul of a place through its people. Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to dissolve borders, both physical and cultural. I believe in the simple power of hospitality, in the exchange of kindness, and in the shared human desire to be seen and understood.
