ABOUT ME

Well it is pretty awkward trying to write all about yourself here. I grew up in Ankara, Turkey. Except a year in Bologna (2004) and a year in Istanbul (2007-2008), i was based in Ankara until, back in this April moved to Copenhagen.
Am a microbiologist. Now, a Post doc in Uni. of Copenhagen. Am trying to contribute to human health by trying to get the "food" less risky, using natural predators of bacteria.
Am gay, and yeah its good to be here after Turkey! I have a great appreciation of life, the uniqueness we posses, donating mother nature and inexplicable dynamics of our earth and beyond. I love traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people, having a glimpse of their life, and reminding myself how big and full of wonders earth is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes, I get chance of visiting some places. At those times, rather than doing mainstream touristic things, I wanna experience new people, how they live, what they do and so on.
It is a good way to meet people, share each others company.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Being on top of Pilatus and the descending journey in teleferic.
- Road trip from Olympus to Bodrum in 3 weeks.
- Solar eclipse in 2006 in Manavgat along with the accompanying Sunclipse festival
- Having found bacteriophages against E. coli O157:H7 in slaughterhouse waste water

Teach, Learn, Share

Wow it depends according to the visitor I suppose. I have a lot of knowledge of food microbiology and hygienic precautions for sure, yet having hard time to find someone who'd be interested in it. Am trying evolve to teach less complicated every time :)
I'd love to learn about any kind of experiences, from very core to top, very personal to general.
And in return, I would share anything, correlated with trust of course :)
