HI! I am Nouk!

I find joy, beauty and meaning in the little things: Sharing a story with a stranger, finding wild blackberries on a hike, a smile, waiting on the bus together.

I write poetry, teach sustainability and societal transformation, sing dinsey songs, hike in wild places, and aspire to learn something new from every person I meet. I am addicted to knowledge, and believe that finding and creating community to really listen to each other, could be the answer to many of the societal problems we face today.

Part of the alphabet maffia, and I am deeply in love with red wood trees. I am always on a quest to make the world a little bit more caring than I found it. Indigenous knowledges are currently a big inspiration for me. I love yoga, basketbal and practiced figure skating.

I play guitar and love to sing, enjoy festivals ( I have been to burning man NL this year), love dressing up, campingg, and trying new weird food to eat. I value deep dialogue as much as joy- and playfull interaction where the focuss lies on having fun.

Couch surfing to me represents a way to get to know a place and it's inhabitants in a more intimate way. When I travel I hope not to be a tourist, that comes and consumes, but part of a community where I can connect, give and receive.

Music: I listen and dance to a lot different types of music. I Love techo and drumnbass, but also listen to jazz, Latin, classic, folk and indi music. Yiruma is on of my heros of the moment.

Movies and series: ghibli movies, art house movies, Disney movies, costume dramas, adventure time, peaky blinders, avatar the last Airbender, she-ra, Steven universe, Witcher, lupin, Bridgeton ( very guilty)

One of my favorite moments of last year was that I climbed the highest mountain of Slovenia with two of my best friends.
