Hi! I am Anouska from the Netherlands. I loce travelling, yoga, dogs, tea, positivity, nature but also cool cities, cooking and meeting new people :)

I travelled solo in my gap year to the Philippines & Vietnam, lived in London for 3 months working at a bakery, did volunteering and working back home in a restaurant as well. Then I studied liberal arts & sciences, focused on global challenges with a major in culture, history and society, in The Hague. After this I studied abroad in Japan for a semester, in Tokyo. Afterwards I travelled for 6 weeks in Japan, hitch hiking solo the whole way from Kagoshima (south) to Nagano & Tokyo, 1500km in total. During this journey I started couch surfing and every experience was so unique, special, and incredible!

I want to meet people and do couch surfing because I am interested in different cultures, new places, and it’s great having international friends. I am always up for drinks, walks, exploring!

I would love to host people in the Netherlands, but at the moment I am travelling, so it is not possible. When I am back home, I will always welcome people and would love to get to know you!

Indie, pop, rap, R&B, chill, acoustic: I love a lot of music genres and artists. My favourites are Foster the People, BROCKHAMPTON, Rex Orange County, Lana del Rey, Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, Roy Blair, Aurora, Jorja Smith, MGMT, Soko, alt-J, Kali Uchis, the Neighbourhood, Childish Gambino, Mallrat... And I love ABBA.
Watching movies is one of my favourite things to do! Films that are special to me: Up, The Breakfast Club, Juno, Call me by your name, the Conjuring, Jaws...
Oh and I like series as well, such as Skins, Stranger Things, Skam, Chewing Gum, Please Like Me and Crashing.
Books? I love Lonely Planet (the Big Trip is so inspirational!) and vegan/vegetarian cooking books.
