ABOUT ME

Back in Turkey in a new city - Istanbul this time. Looking forward to meeting folks from this site and hosting when I can! I live on the Asian side in a district called Uskudar. It's in a good location for getting to and from the airport (Ataturk) via the metro, and getting to the major sites of the city (Sultanahmet and Beyoglu are just 35-40 minutes away from me by ferry and/or Marmary (the train that runs under the Bosphorus).

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to cultivate an attitude of warmth and acceptance. I believe I'm pretty warm already by nature, but like most people, growing up I became conditioned to see people by differences. Now, I find that keeping my focus on others has helped me to develop strong bonds with a diverse group of people. I love to get to know people in order to further shape and enrich my life as well as to understand myself better.

I participate as a host, a tour guide, a listener, and a guest. I can't always host, but I do when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

You know, in this world of ours, I think simply being alive and enjoying the world around us is pretty amazing - standing by the sea when waves come crashing in, feeling the energy of people around me in a crowded city, trying new foods, meeting new people.

I can teach you some recipes, how to draw if you like. Also if you like to sing, I may take out my ukulele and we'll create some music.
