About Me

Learning magic

I'm a 25-yr-old guy from St Petersburg, passioned in ecology, sustainable development (but not in "official one"!), "life and other big issues" (more precisely sociology, foreign languages, litterature, and all creative ways of living from cooking to painting). I consider myself a "citizen of the world" and hope to see around lots of open-minded, kind-hearted, creative and cooperative people.

This page is intentionally left blank:), but oh yes: Those who speak don't know, those who know don't need to speak.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't been here a long while, and now haven't much time to spend with my potential guests, but I promise to do the best I'm capable of!

Hosted a group of nice and brave Polonian girls in summer 2010, they seemed to be pleased:), and had some trips in France.

Well... in fact, lots of, so let me list top 5:
1)Sustainable development and everything related)
2)Creativity, psychology and personal growth (not in a way of "learning to be more productive and useful for the society", but rather the contrary - being completely useless and enjoying it!)
3)France, french language and culture
4)Arts (especially "street arts"), litterature

Music, Movies, and Books

Herman Hesse, Vladimir Nabokov, JRRT and JK Rowling:), Albert Camus, Joseph Brodsky, Kurt Vonnegut, "Shantaram" by G.D.Roberts, and! - oh yes! - "Beyond Civilization" and "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn
some old-fashioned stuff (such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, ELP and so on), classic and baroque, jazz, old good blues, electronic (house, techno)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Numerous trips around Russia, ropejumping, learning to be at peace with myself (the hardest - can't say I'm a very good learner at that - and yet the most exciting thing that I've been doing...)

Teach, Learn, Share

1)I'm doing massage:) Not as a professional, but I think most people can learn something from me.
2)Almost everything you ever wanted to know about sustainable development, ecology and eco-sociology (I'm really loving this stuff, and would be glad both to learn and to share my knowledge).
