About Me

🚗Currently travelling with my partner👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼

Foundamentally a hobbit, an introverted one, peace-loving, gourmet-pining, for a while seems to be greatly satisfied by the lovely books, gardens, and the familiar surroundings... until the call from distant places beckons, and before you know, you are already on the road. Eyes opening wide and wild with wonder.
Thus, the cycle goes on and on. The plunge into adventures and the bittersweet homecomings :)

Most recently, I've been working in Taiwan as an art book editor for two years, following my three-year journey in Australia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Connections with local people and communities!
Couchsurfing has changed my life from the beginning, and I believe it will continue to do so 🙏🏻

'I remembered that the real world was wide,
and that a varied field of hopes and fears,
of sensations and excitments,
awaited those who had the courage to go forth into its expanse,
to seek real knowledge of life amidst its perils.'

──Charlotte Brontë, "Jane Eyre"

Music, Movies, and Books

I read mostly fiction, nonfiction in Humanities, poetry, graphic novels, and photography books. Occasionally dabble in plant or animal related pop science. Currently reading "An Immense World" by Ed Young.

Big fantasy nerd: from the classic LOTR to modern fairytales by Catherynne M. Valente, the feminist retelling of Arthurian legends The Mists of Avalon (the author's scandal broke me though), to the works of urban fantasy master Neil Gaiman.
The Last Unicorn, Earthsea, and Momo are also among my favorites.

I am deeply drawn to ethereal characters who have ventured into the real world, experienced its beauty and horror, and journeyed back to themselves,
their innocence tinted with the truth of the world, their otherworldness warmed by the touch of humanity.
Yet eventually, they embraced humanity with such strength and tenderness. That's what always moves me.

Enough of my babbling haha!
We may exchange music and movie list when we meet in person ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been happy and grateful to have achieved one of my dreams in Australia: busking as a living statue 🗽

Teach, Learn, Share

I encountered flowarts three years ago, fell in love with it right away, and have been practicing from time to time.
I spin pois and fans (beginner-intermediate level), and I can juggle up to four balls.
Happy to teach or learn new skills! Been wanting to learn proper fire spinning as well 🔥

What I Can Share with Hosts
