About Me

In summary, I'm a fun loving guy, open minded and love meeting kind people. My insta is antonio_adero add me :)

I am a Christian - we are to be all things to all men (1 Cor. 9:22).

Currently a Law graduate from the University of Manchester. Been working in the UK Government and other jobs like teaching English in Japan over the last 3 years. I did exchange abroad at the University of Hong Kong in 2015. In the Foreign Office I am doing a weekly Japanese course from my work, which fun! Also seeking to qualify as a solicitor.
I love to travel and though my exchange I have been to many places in Asia. I frequently travel Europe and it is my mission to visit every continent in the World before next year. So far only Antarctica and Australasia to go!
This year I hope to travel around South America such as Columbia and Brazil.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After years being friends with Couchsurfer and host Richard Shave, who attends my church, he told me of the many great aspects of the system and thought it to be worthwhile. Lots of my friends who stayed at Richard's place go to my church in London and always meet new ones who stay at his place every week who share tales of their adventures. I have Couch surfed last September in Munich with my friend Franzi, where we stayed with friendly host Dhruv, and in January 2016 I went to Morocco with my best friend Ade. They were awesome experience and as a result of this I am eager to carry on officially, since I am an avid traveller.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy Gospel Music, Soul, Blues, K-Pop, AfroBeats, Opera and Classical/Instrumentals. Then all of that in Spanish! Love salsa and flamenco etc. La Cucaracha! Basically impress me with a good beat and clean lyrics.

My favourite books are the Bible, Pilgrim's progress, Daughters of the Dragon, How to Win Friends and Influence People, The Little Prince, The Great Gatsby, 1984 and The Land. Nowadays, it hardly seems I get to read for fun with all the Chinese/Japanese, Korean history books and Law textbooks!

My favourite movies/TV Shows are, Game of Thrones, Power, The Flash, Arrow, Gotham, My Hero Academia, Dragonball Z movies, One Piece, Memories of the Alhambra, W and Mr Sunshine (k-dramas). Movies are The War Room, Pearl Harbour, Avengers, Thor, Iron Man, The Great Gatsby, Inception, Dark Knight, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Titanic and Pirates of the Caribbean saga. Really most K-dramas and Animes, plus many many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year, I was selected for the Study Abroad programme at Manchester to study at Hong Kong University (HKU) for a semester starting last January. To prepare for my study of it during the semester, I went to weekly Mandarin lessons. Spending time in Hong Kong greatly enriched my outlook on life and my appreciation of other cultures. It also re-enlightened me to the value of hard work I had traveled to 7 cities around Asia, within China, Japan, Korea and Thailand, through HKU’s clubs/societies.

Teach, Learn, Share

Smooth seas do not make Good Sailors 🌊♣

Learn - the different ways people behave, and think.

Share - this home, and daily meals, and the beauty of knowing God, Art, Sport and Culture.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully returning the favour.
We have breakfast supplies so help yourself to our fridge and cupboard! :)

Also, as far as warm hospitality goes, we have a tradition at my house, if you are staying around on a Sunday, it would be nice to go Church with me and my family, at least for an hour. All services have translations. I go for the whole day for a service starting at 11am. After we have various services/Sunday schools in the Afternoon for different nationalities/languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Deaf and Korean. At 5pm we have a free 'student's supper', where you meet many young people. Then at 6:30pm we have an evening evangelical service.
You can choose to go to all or one of these Church services. Here is a link!: http://www.metropolitantabernacle.org/
