About Me

I'm a nature adventure nut!

I love being outdoors as much as possible, whether that's hiking, paddling, climbing, cycling or sleeping. It also makes sense that I'm a wildlife biologist and I've had the privilege of working with whales, turtles, snakes, wolves, birds, and a whole bunch of other critters.

When I'm not wading through a wetland or surveying the sea, you can find me enjoying the little things; sharing a laugh with some good friends around the fire, discovering something scrumptious from a street vendour or planning out my next expedition!

Always up for an adventure where I can discover and learn!

- If it scares you, it might be a good thing to try
- Life is a book. Those who do not travel read only one page

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because the traveling experience is more than just hotels and hostels. The couchsurfing community is a great way to meet new people who can exchange stories, tips, and ideas. Some of my best travel memories were shared with folks just like you!

Interests

Bring me nature. Bring me adventure. Just bring me somewhere! I'm always up for a new challenge.... and late night snacks.

My curiosity is never satisfied so I love learning about new things and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: this might sound cliché, but I listen to pretty much anything - unless you bring me some progressive fusion death metal (even then I'll give it a try)

Movies: to long to list.

Books: Alone against the North, The Tipping Point, Blink, de Montaigne, Ishmael, The Alchemist

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I assisted in incubating 15000 baby turtle eggs.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
Whales sleep with half their brain still running at full capacity. Turtles breathe through their butts in the winter.
Learn:
Show me how to surf.
Share:
I won a watermelon eating contest when I was 7. The prize was another watermelon.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Let's trade stories while I cook and prepare some delicious drinks! While we're at it, I can teach you a thing or two about surviving in the wilderness.

Countries I’ve Visited
