About Me

Hi! I’m Anthony, but everyone calls me 'Toni,' founder and current team lead of Amuno Rural Hub in rural eastern Uganda, where we empower rural children to go to school, stay in school, and excel in school through after-school education programs, health and nutrition, life skills, and community support.

I’m passionate about creating opportunities for young people and learning from different cultures along the way. I love meeting new people, sharing stories, and exploring local life wherever I go. When I’m not working on community projects, you’ll find me reading, enjoying nature, or discovering hidden gems in the places I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with people from around the world, share experiences, and learn about different cultures. I love meeting locals, hearing their stories, and exchanging ideas. Traveling for me is about human connection, curiosity, and understanding the world from different perspectives.

Books: I enjoy books on social impact, personal growth, and adventure, as well as stories about communities and innovation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I founded Amuno Rural Hub in Uganda, where we empower rural children to go to school, stay in school, and excel in school. Seeing children gain confidence, learn, and dream big has been one of the most rewarding and life-changing experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in teaching, learning, and sharing wherever I go. I love sharing stories and experiences from my work with rural children, learning from the people and cultures I meet, and teaching through conversation and collaboration. Traveling is all about connecting and exchanging ideas!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing stories from my work with rural children, cultural experiences, and ideas for making a positive impact. I’m also happy to swap travel tips, music, or just have a good conversation over coffee.
