Overview
About Me
Born in Guyana, but grew up in England since the age of 10. I've been fortunate enough to travel to a good number of different places in this world, but even luckier to have made the connections and lived the experiences I have had. I consider myself open minded, curious, and spontaneous. I guess like most of us on CS, I like travelling I like sharing authentic experiences, and connecting by learning and sharing life's experiences. I like to explore different ideas and different ways of looking at life and the world. So let's share our stories, our ideas and experience a unique moment in time that can make us smile when we remember the time we met each other. Recent move to vegan, not easy transition after years of eating meat, but I love to cook, and would love to share some delicious meat free Caribbean cuisine with you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From my experience the best way to experience the local culture is from someone that lives there. I also think that the people using couch surfing should somewhat share a similar perspective, and outlook to open their homes to strangers and one of the best things about travelling is engaging and interacting with kindred spirits...If you're crazy enough to let a stranger stay in your home, I'm crazy enough to be that stranger.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My First real travelling experience was at 18, where as part of a programme "world Challenge" We raised money for two years to fund a month long trip to Malaysia, which included helping out and raising money for a local orphanage (an orphanage for blind kids and adults in a remote part of Malaysia, helping with renovations, with farming), helping out at a turtle sanctuary (camping on a beautiful beach with crystal clear skies, with stars so bright they looked like fairy lights, to watch for poachers and to relocate eggs when green back turtles came on the beach to lay their eggs), hiking and camping in dense rainforest (Taman Negara rain forest, it was so dense that without lights or camp fire it was pitch black, but again with no artificial lights you were so close to nature). While this may seem to others like just another travel story, It was amazing because to me it opened my eyes to how different and vast our world is, but we are all still very connected.
