I am Anthony, I started my career at Starcom in 2016. I work on a wide range of clients from supermarkets, batteries, cars to authentic asian beer. I started off as a little coordinator, and my main responsibilities was ensuring that the team ran smoothly on a day to day basis. I did most of the mundane work, so that my teammates can focus on producing high quality media strategies and executions.

Some of the tasks I did was cross checking media bookings with media plans, loading correct media bookings, producing monthly competitive reports for clients, booking media across offline and digital channels. But the best part of the job was the opportunities to learn everyday. There were also many external industry events that taught personal development practical media executions. Quite frankly it was the stuff they didn't teach at uni; life skills and experiences.

My passion of travelling developed when I studied in Germany and backpacked in France. It was an eye opening experience meeting like-minded people across the world and also kind hearted people who opened their doors to welcome strangers like myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the Youxplore program is a very exciting initiative to be a part of.

I think it is a very holistic program that facilities a strong cultural exchange across countries.

I like how this program is also focused on hosting, and we all naturally treat each other like family. I am sure not only great experiences will be made, but long lasting relationships will also be established.
