ABOUT ME

I am from New York City, which is the BEST CITY in the world! During College I had an opportunity to move to Rome, ITaly for a year and study / work abroad. It was a great experience, then I moved back to the US and worked in NYC for 5 years. During this time, I had a great work opporunity and transferred to the Sao Paulo office in October 2008. My first time in South America was when I arrived to work in SP. I didnt know anyone or speak Portuguese but I like challenges personally / professionally. After my time in SP another opportunity came along for me in Rio de Janeiro, in May 1, 2010, I transferred to the RJ office. So now I get to start all over again, since I dont know anyone in RJ. But, in the end, when I see an opportunity I am not afraid to take it!

I am easy to get along with and really enjoy meeting with friends for drinks and laughs....

PHILOSOPHY

I am not one to philosophize, but I feel whoever said that "actions speak louder than words" was right. I am a very real/honest person, sometimes I am sure I am to open and honest.....

I am not afraid of new and experiences and look forward to challenging opportunities....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been to several CS meetings / events in Sao Paulo and am hoping to interactive and meet people in RJ. I enjoy meeting new people and relish every opportunity to practice Português.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met several people in other cities for drinks / meals. I am open to share my couch, but as of now, I am living in a hotel while I visit some apartments in RJ!

Interests

Traveling, meeting new people and exploring new places, etc. Basically, I live alone here in RJ and don't know that many people. I do not like to sit inside my house and watch TV; so any opportunity to go out, meet new people, explore is a positive.

I used to play basketball in Ibirapuera Park (Sao Paulo) and hope to start playing in RJ. Frequently I am trying to improve my "futebol" skills. I was doing capioria classes at Vai-Vai (in Sampa) and would like to start in RJ.

Strong Corinthians supporter, go frequently to the games and have been to Gavioes samba school several times.

Now in Brasil I am trying to follow: Samba, Pagote, Funk, Forro, MPB, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Italy and lived / worked in Rome for a year. Met with my ITalian relatives and had the time of my life.

Moved to Sao Paulo to work for 18 months.

Currently am living in Rio de Janeiro....
