Well i am currently a student at the University of Iowa studying Journalism. I am also a veteran, having served four honorable years in the Marine Corps. I was given the opportunity to travel while in the service and the experience really pushed my drive to immerse and understand different cultures. The current plan is to finish up school and then pursue freelance work around the world covering cultural issues.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet and explore new areas of the world at the same time. I am very interested in the stories of people from around the world, and Couchsurfing allows me to both connect with and individual from the area and provide insight to the culture of the area

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I suppose the most amazing thing i have done would be serving in the military. I served with the Marine Corps for four years and it really opened my eyes to what the world has to offer. Ever since then i have been focused on exploring and telling the stories of those i meet.
