About Me

I am working on it...

I was born in Portugal but spent part of my early years of childhood travelling with my parents trough Africa and South Africa . I developed from those times a strong will of get in touch with other cultures. It comes to my mind often the thought of not belonging to a country per se, as I always find new aspects of my personality outside the common experience of my native language. I see myself as an adventurer with and insatiable curiosity . My mind is always compelling me to discover new interests and friends. I am an artist and a communicator . A avid spectator of beauty and authenticity .

I guess my friends can define me as someone who likes to have them around to share histories. I have a great family in Portugal , and a small but very solid group of friends. I am a people´s person that enjoys the company of others, but I also like to live in my shell and enjoy the comfort of being alone at times. When I am by myself other then doing my regular professional as an art director for Tv animation, or being busy with other activities, I occupy my time reading stuff mostly articles, books or comic books. I enjoy also making sports, taking photos , go to the cinema, dance, and see music concerts. I like to chill around good food as any Mediterranean dude and although I am not much of a chef, I am interested to become a better one.

Besides all I have write I think I can describe myself as a easy going , calm and peaceful individual. A cultivated, like minded person with a sharp sense of observation and a creative soul that always tries to see the best in people.

I am a positive, romantic and energetic person. My personal philosophy is close to these three aspects of my personality. That said I believe life is to be lived passionately.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I want to participate in couch surfing experience to meet people along the road of life and to exchange thoughts, ideas, and points of view that can turn into interesting conversations or common projects. I want to leave the door open to the people I meet on my path, interested in perpetuating the good memories of our encounters. I am not currently hosting but I will in a near future when I fill to have the proper conditions to do so. I can nevertheless be a contact to show Lisbon around.

I am a recent member of this club so I don't have any experience at all of Couch surfing. I appreciate some tips from other members if they want to share.

There are many things grab my attention at different levels. I could enumerate a exhaustive list of them but I choose human qualities like solidarity and honesty the first ones on my list. I get also immediately caught by a genuine personality, and passionate energy. I am an illustrator and digital artist or at least that is the kind of work I have been doing for about 20 years in different areas . My main interest orbit obviously around my professional activity but I also like to be surprised.
