About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Refine the art of comunication.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Portugal but spent part of my early years of childhood traveling with my parents trough Africa and South Africa .

I guess my close ones can define me as someone who likes to have them around to share histories. I have a great family in Portugal , and a very solid group of friends. I am a people´s person that enjoys the company of others, but I also like to occupy time with my own thoughts. When I am not working in my professional field, I enjoy the time by drawing , reading , doing sports, photography , going to the cinema, dance, and populate my mind with dreams. I like to chill around good food as any Mediterranean individual although I am not much of a chef.

I can describe myself as a easy going , calm and peaceful individual. A cultivated, like minded person with a sharp sense of observation and a creative soul that always tries to seed and grow the best in people.

My personal philosophy is no different than the one miss Universe informs the audience on her coronation day which in my opinion can be perceived as common sense. I strive everyday to find peace and sleep comfortably without any conscience assaults ...most of the times I achieve the objective smoothly and other times I fail miserably and punished myself with dark thoughts about robbing a bank and move to a remote island with nice couch surfing hosts with whom I can divide the loot :))... Well you got the message....Common sense perceived as the fair amount of honesty, tolerance, respect and intelligence usually operate great results for my peace of mind. I am sure great philosophers have put this in perspective better than me. I should read more about philosophy...and I will one day once I meditate about the meaning of life:)...Does life has a meaning or a purpose?!...I am sure you have an answer to that and I am anxious to hear more about it if you want to go into that direction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to a part of the couch surfing experience to meet people along the road to whom I can have a good time by establish solid and meaningful relations. I am not currently hosting but I can be a great company to show Lisbon around. I have a profound historical knowledge of my native culture and know the city like the palm of my hands. It is always a a great pleasure for me to show the beautiful spots and where to find the best delicacies of the Mediterranean cuisine of Portugal.I usually find them in great variety at my Mum`s table each time I visit her. You are welcome to join me. Her house is located in a small town near Lisbon called Sesimbra, which is knowned by the quality of the fish...but there are other beautiful places where I can take you like Alentejo...where there is a nice sea cost and exquisite food. Just ask me whatever you want to know. I am the right guy for you to meet if you enjoy great company or want to know what to visit.

Interests

I like to travel and meet people with a genuine personality, and creative mind. I have a passionate interest in art in all its forms special in painting and digital art which I exercise as my profession. I have also a strong interest in music not as a performer but as a avid consumer on a daily basis. I am always looking for new projects in an eclectic range of tastes and go frequently to music concerts.I enjoy painting in my studio and take a good stroll to the beach when ever possible to breath fresh air and take a swim.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been living in different parts of the world for professional reasons. During that period I developed a contemplative sense of observation about the way people pile or structure their existence. I am fascinated about details, the mental choices people do to organize their space, the objects they choose to be a part of their existence. The ways and diverse set of solutions each culture finds to solve common problems. Everyone as such a distinctive presence in this world. Some are so much in tune with what the media dictates and others are so brilliantly original. I guess living between contrasting realities like the Latin, Anglo Saxon, the Arab and Asian culture opened my mind to amazing stuff...in my humble opinion:)

Teach, Learn, Share

Professionally speaking I can teach great stuff to kids and juvenile adults, mostly how to draw pathetic characters and how to animate them in 3D if their up to that. I can try to teach Portuguese although I have to warn you that we spell words with the nose accompanied by effusive hand gestures. I can teach you the rules of Rugby as I played it for quite some time and I hold some broken bones but a placid attitude towards everyone.

I would appreciate immensely if you could teach me how to be a better Chef and if you know how to dance I would not mind to make a silly figure out of myself in order to follow your moves.

I can most definitely share values of a good Samaritan, and histories of my epic adventures throughout the word as a proper Portuguese sailor.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope to share a good laugh about life, a relaxed time with a beer or a glass of wine as company, respect, and sincere wishes of friendship.
