About Me

Hey! I’m 21, from Québec, Canada. French is my first language, but I speak English pretty well too. I recently quit my job to travel, mainly to see more of the world, meet cool people, and get to know more about myself.

I get along easily with others. I might seem a bit quiet at first, but once I open up, I’m actually pretty fun to hang out with. I like good conversations, laughing at random stuff, and just going with the flow.

I’m always curious to learn new things whether it’s a local custom, a recipe, or a different way of seeing the world. I’m just out here living in the moment, appreciating life.

I’m also into working out, cliff diving and hiking so anything active or outdoorsy, I’m down. I love spending time in nature, it helps me feel good and clear my head.

When traveling, my plan is no plan. I just go where life leads me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling with Couchsurfing because it lets me experience how people live in different places of the planet. I’m always curious about their daily routines, what they care about, and how they see the world. You learn so much just by being there watching, listening, and talking to people.

I started using Couchsurfing as a surfer on my first solo trip in Europe. It allowed me to live moments that I will never forget. Now that I’m back home, I want to give back to travellers by hosting travelers myself and sharing the same kindness and hospitality I’ve received on the road.

Please read the ‘My home’ section if you want to get hosted :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies 🎬

I don’t watch a lot of movies but I really like Fight Club because it makes you think about how much we rely on material things to feel good about ourselves. We don’t even notice it, but everything’s about buying more, having more, showing more. The movie just illustrates all that very well and makes you ask what actually matters. The first rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club. I’ll always remember how I felt at the end of the movie when I watched it for the first time.

“Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy sh*t we don’t need.”

“The things you own end up owning you.”

Music 🎵

I listen to a lot of different music types (rap, rock, EDM, etc.). I’m always open to discover new music and I would be glad to show songs from Québec, to share what I grew up with. Music is a big part of my life, and I really enjoy when people introduce me to their favorites too it’s a great way to connect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Turkey to Georgia, it allowed me to meet incredibly kind and generous people on the road. My best memory from it is when a family picked me up and invited me to spend the day with them to visit a small town called Sinop in Turkey. We went to the restaurant, visited an old prison and went on a boat trip on the Black Sea together.
There is also a guy that picked me up, cooked delicious food for me, let me sleep at his place and then drove me to the border which was 2 hours away.

I did a 4 days solo trek in the Greater Caucasus Mountains in Georgia, about 80 km in total, with challenging sections like crossing an above knee-deep river of freezing glacial water. It was hard but so rewarding, the views were absolutely stunning, with mountains, rivers, and glaciers all around.
