ABOUT ME

I'm a kind of a nice but typical french guy. Introvert and talkative, pessimistic and friendly and playful. And arrogant of course ;)

I may not host on a regular basis, so I appologize in advance for my eventual refusal.

Since September I live in a amazing house in the far eastern suburbs of Paris, teaching english and spanish in a school, and enjoying my garden with my housemates.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to leave in peace with everyone, keeping in mind that to change the world, you have to change yourself first. These lasts years,
I'm really interested in philosophy, and in terms of politics, I'm passionate by the reactionary anarchism of Orwell, and the question of the social organisation models, and by the decreasing issues. I enjoy debate : it's part of the french way of life to value public discussion : we call it "beurrage de raie".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I registered a few years ago, and then I was living in Prague and looking for people to fill my big empty room. I try to stay in touch with the people I met through CS, and hope to be hosted by them if they visited me

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a few times in Prague, and I've been welcome twice. Then I hosted a few people in Paris since I had space and time !

Interests

My favorite occupations : (hitch)hiking, especially in foreign countries, reading, playing the guitar, discussing until the end of the night (if my english is fluent enough), cooking, nature (used to be a scout), Paris underground, Eastern Europe and "slavic spirit"
And I must admit that I love watching football

Music, Movies, and Books

I love two of the best czech authors : Kafka and Kundera. Dostoïevski is my favorite russian writter, I also enjoy Céline, London, Saint-Exupéry, Camus, Illitch and George Orwell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Kosovo, with two friends, we were hosted in the Old Serbian Patriarcat, under NATO protection. We met an old nun there, and spent a few hours talking about her life and Balkans modern History, having some coffee under the trees, until some soldiers came back to kick us out.
