ABOUT ME

I'm getting older, currently knocking on the door of 30 years of age. I am trying to experience everything I can while I'm still in school and able to. I am ex-military and I feel that has washed away a lot of my experiences, however has granted me important experiences that most people won't have. I feel like I'm blessed with my past, and I'm wanting more for my future.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy life. Roads may take you places, but you have to decide when to get off the beaten path and figure out for yourself what is important.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have helped several friends couch surf in my abode, (they have been real life friends, haven't accepted anyone from the internet yet) I am still kind of paranoid about the WWW community as I have yet to accept anyone into my home, nor have I slept on anyone's couch from the WWW. I am going out on a limb this weekend, heading to minneapolis MN!! Hoping to find some hospitable people that would possibly share a couch with me and my fiance.

I love concerts, and music.. and um.. concerts.. also I enjoy different cultures, a sushi bar in central illinois is very different than a sushi bar in virginia, which is much different than a sushi bar in california! I love it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Alk-3, in fact any kind of post modern "punk" or good feeling music. I am a big fan of Dante, Steven King, and yes even Nietzsche. I also love plato, aristotle, and anything that has to do with historical philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hrm, I've seen the oldest city on earth, I've been to 5 different continents, I've swam in every ocean (yes even the arctic) I've pretty much been almost everywhere and have done almost everything.

people with different views than me! I am by no means set in stone with any of my beliefs at all. I love meeting people who differ with me in religious/political/sociological opinions. I am very willing and able to hold a non-confrontational opinion with anyone as I know my views and ideas aren't right and am willing to learn from others.
