I'm a Norwegian 23 year old student who's been to many countries, I've never tried couch surfing but I really like the concept and I'd like to try both staying in someone's home and hosting someone else myself one day.

I am a little bit shy in some contexts and not at all in others, I don't really understand it myself. I like being a guest and a host, and I think hospitality is an important virtue that gets forgotten too often. It's important to be both a good guest and a gracious host.

I sometimes travel places and couchsurfing seems like a great alternative to hostels and hotels, because the traveler can save on costs while both the traveler and host can have some nice experiences together.

I love language, but I'm also interested in history, religion, culture, science, local customs, food, drink, etc. I love going to museums, historical sites, and learning about the places I go to.

I've read a few books, some of them classics and others more pulpey. I like to read litterature from different countries.

Not exactly amazing, but one of my best memories from traveling is when I was in Hong Kong last year and walked up the stairs to the Big Buddha. Most tourists go by bus, and it took a long time to get all the way up. So it felt like an accomplishment, at least.
