About Me

Hey there, brave guest! (Or potential host)

It's often tough to describe myself because I can be so different. It depends on my mood, circumstances, the people around me and the vibe with them, the weather, my recent successes or failures, and whether I'm hungry.

So, you can see I'm pretty varied.

At my best, I'm super curious about everything - people, events, concepts. I love asking questions and being asked about myself. I enjoy receiving attention and giving it, taking care of others, and giving gifts.
I can be very chatty, and then go quiet, waiting for you to carry on the conversation. But I love talking and discussing all sorts of topics, especially those related to self-development, understanding the world, and personal insights on how to live your best life.
I can be bold and do things that are unusual for me, though what's brave and unusual is personal for everyone - even if it's something ordinary.
I really enjoy active leisure - biking, snowboarding, diving, swimming, hiking; I once took up dancing and almost became an instructor, but wasn't ready at the time (though I can still teach you some basic Zouk moves).
I love driving, and although I don't have a car, I sometimes rent one and spend time driving as a form of meditation, cruising through mountain switchbacks. Or we go on a road trip with friends, and it's one of the best feelings in the world.
I adore mountains, especially snow-capped peaks. One day I realized I want to live somewhere I can see mountains from my window every day and visit them as often as I want.

At my worst, I can be sad, boring, pessimistic like an old man, and sometimes people call me that. But that's also normal because I'm just a regular person. So I'm looking for things in this world that give me more reasons to be in my best =)

I can be quite reserved at the beginning of our interaction; I need some time to get used to you and show my genuine feelings.
I can't promise to be the best guest or host, but I try to be genuine, and I ask the same of others, because I believe that's super important.

AS A GUEST
As a guest, I'm pretty flexible. I accept the conditions of the home I'm staying in, showing respect to the owner. I can help with household chores or cooking, or take on a task if needed.
Usually, I'm quiet and will ask about everything to avoid disturbing the peace and rules of your home.

AS A HOST
As a host, I try to provide as much comfort to my guests as possible, but I ask for respect for my rules and feelings. Please be mindful, clean up after yourself and respect my time while you're staying with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One day I realized that meeting new people is one of the best ways to explore yourself. Interaction is like a mirror, reflecting your different sides. It shows how you react to others, what thoughts and feelings arise within you, what annoys you, and what impresses you about others.

The most comfortable conditions for me to meet new people are at home. That's where I feel calm and safe, and I can be more genuine. So couchsurfing for me is a way to learn about myself and express my qualities of care, guidance, and assistance.
Also, people can inspire and provide great insights. They offer a chance to see life from a different perspective and to feel connection and closeness.

Of course, couchsurfing makes traveling easier because it opens up endless opportunities to meet people, get help, and find a place to stay all over the world. I'm interested in being part of this community where exchange is what makes us richer.

HANGING OUT TOGETHER
I like to hang out, but not too much. I need my own space to recharge my social battery.
I'm also okay if we will only chat at home and you'll leave for your own exploration.
