ABOUT ME
Hi there! Welcome to my profile!
Born in Sweden. Spent three years in Australia as a little guy, I think my travel interest started here. Went to school and high school in southern Sweden, in and close to, Lund.
Spent a year after high school working at a factory and geriatric care center during the days, and doing photography and writing during the evenings. Then I went to Ghana visiting a friend.
Later moved to Denmark to study medicine. I hosted a couchsurfer in the fall of 2012. We met again during the winter and travelled together to Kiruna and Abisko to see the Northern Lights.
I later managed to save up cash and go to Kenya in the summer of 2013. Met several couchsurfers and had an amazing, but exhausting, time.
After some time working on a writing project in Thailand and Japan, and a few backpacking and couch surfing trips in Asia, I've returned to finish my studies in Denmark.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to learn from the past and, to some degree, plan the future. I also try, but usually fail to, let life exist in the present.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just drop me a message if you need a place to spend the night or kill a few hours over a coffee or a beer in Odense.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All good so far!
I have met about 20 - 30 coucsurfers IRL from Sweden, Danmark, Norway, Germany, Poland, Kenya, Uganda, Thailand, India, Australia and China. All of them were great people and I would borrow them my couch, or share a cup of tea, at any time.
Interests
There're lots of themâÃâ¬Ã¦ My oldest hobby is photography. I wouldn't say I'm really good at it, but I really enjoy developing it. Due to the efficiency of digital post processing most exposures are digital nowadays but I have some experience of the analogue, "true", darkroom as well. I would happily take you out on a small photographic excursion if you'd come to my area!
Other interests are fascinating movies, writing, overtone singing etc.
What I like about movies is the way of telling stories - the morph of photography, music and written dialogues, and the way these elements are mixed by trimming.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite movies:
Hero, Mullholand Dr., Oldboy, Beeing John Malcovich
The kind of music i like:
When I work with pictures or fixing food for example, I like chillout and meditative styles. Some kinds of melodic trance can be nice, or soft, down-tempo lounge.
Books:
Cool, breath-taking stories like the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov can keep me awake until six in the morning. Marcel Proust is probably my favourite author at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In an Austrian little town called Zell am See I triend tandem paragliding. Simply sublime.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I do have a little thing for "odd skills".
(Saying "odd", I mean odd for the time and place where I live.)
For example, I can teach the fundamentals of singing overtones (a technique to sing two tones at the same time). Even if you don't get really good at it, it's a pretty good party trick (or maybe not, but at least I find it cool!).
Another thing, much more interesting than it sounds (I promise!), is stenography/short-hand writing. I'm learning the most common Swedish system now and I get more fascinated the more I understand of it. It's really nerdy, but that's part of the point haha!
