I am currently studying civil engineering at the university in Essen. I am fascinated by the idea to turn an old run down place where you don't want to be into something beautiful you can enjoy.
I also love music. I play the organ and the piano and I enjoy listening to music of quite many genres.

Another hobby of me is inline skating, or rather Urban skating. Although I am still a beginner (I started only a few months ago to do more than a Sunday walk on skates) I'm thinking of taking my skates with me when traveling to some big cities, especially if I could meet another skater.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Honestly, one of the main reasons was that I wanted to travel on low budget ;)
BUT... As I plan to travel alone I also really appreciate to meet people on my journeys who additionally know the area. I don't want to see only the big attractions where every tourist goes, but also the hidden gems. And I also don't only want to admire the things there but also to get to know the people there. Unfortunately I am not that good in conversation. Don't misunderstand me: I love to talk with people, but I prefer to take the part of the listener. Though this is not the best condition to get to know people without context. I hope that by surfing on some couches I'll have this context and can make some great contacts. ^^
