Hello my name is Antonio, I am a professor who teaches painting at the art school near the city of Pisa, I really love art in all its expressions and forms. I also like playing the piano and the guitar (but I have to admit I'm not very good at playing =) but it makes me feel very good and makes me happy to do it and even if I'm not very good I decided to build a small recording studio in my house of which I am very proud because I built it with my own hands including the desk). I am a very simple and calm person, I like simplicity and small things I love nature and the sea in fact another important passion for me is Surfing, I love the waves of the sea and I try to surf as many times as I can (unfortunately in Italy surfing is not widely practiced because the sea is often calm, but in my city when the waves arrive they can be very beautiful ... but unfortunately they only arrive 3-4 times a month in fact I have to travel to look for the most beautiful waves) . My best surfing trips have been to Hawaii, Portugal and San Diego California. I really miss those places and I hope to be back soon. I think I'm a very lucky person because I have a job that I like, I live in a beautiful city by the sea and many people who are close to me love me and treat me well. I really like kind and respectful people, people who have empathy, I don't like arrogance and people who have no respect in fact I love to surround myself with very sensitive people.
ps. I have almost forgotten.... my other great passion is dancing Cuban salsa, I really like Cuban salsa because the sound of that music makes me happy and the people who dance this kind of music are all very smiley and positive and I like to see this when I go dancing, but even though I have been dancing for a few years I am not yet a good dancer because it is very difficult.... but I hope to improve myself because I like it so much=)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed up for couchsurfing for two reasons :
the first is because I like to travel and I like to immerse myself in other cultures trying not to experience the holiday only as a tourist but trying to understand how one truly lives in that place staying as a guest with a local person.
and the other reason is because many times (before discovering this site) I would have liked to stay more time on vacation but hotels are always very expensive and having a chance like this makes things change and everything becomes more beautiful

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built my Home studio to produce music all with my hands using old wood and closet scraps without knowing how to work wood =) I don't know how I built my desk hahaha ahha for me this is the most incredible and difficult thing which I did because I didn't think I will be able to do this because it was my first time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a sofa, or a double camping bed (they are those beds that inflate with compressed air) and they are very comfortable and resistant, and if they need to rest even better I can offer my bed and I can sleep in the camping bed .I can offer breakfast and eat with me during lunch or dinner. I love making pizza and bread. if I'm not at work I can take you to visit the city and the sea by car or if it's not raining by motorbike, and if there are waves in the sea I can also offer you a surfboard to surf the waves of the sea =)
