About Me

*** China in may 2015 ! ***

Bonjour, hello, konnichiwa, ni hao !

I'm Anthony, or Tang Mu Cha (唐木茶) with my little chinese name ^^. I'm French canadian, student in political sciences. I don't know for now what I'll doing with these studies, but I'm sure about one thing : I'm passionate by travel, good company, good discussions, friendly dinners, unusual and weird experiences in awesome places !

My interests are mostly reading books about environment, politic, history, travel tales. Yes, I'm a bit a library rat, but I know how to be fun. Don't worry about it ^^. I like to watch movies too, and I like a few other things like driving, scuba diving, eat good food.

PHILOSOPHY

If you think adventure is dangerous, I suggest you try the routine .... It is deadly.

Paulo Coelho

I believe in karma too. I think if we're good with people, people will be good with us. But if we're with bad intentions, don't be worry, life will give you the same...

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people when possible, or I visit them for a coffee/tea in my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a few people, from France, Hong kong. I help my friend Lea from a hitchhiker group to have a good bed with my family :) I would like to help people as possible. It's not always possible to host for me, but if I can give you a lift, offer you a drink, a tea, I'm always open. Or help you to find a place to stay with my friends and my family. Most of my relatives love foreigners and want to improve their English.

Interests

Author and foreign movies, music (Québec and international music), road trips, cars, social sciences, sinology (I really like China and I like to read about their economy, their spirituality, their values, their food...). I like camping, festivals, reading a lot. I like new technologies. I love arts in general.

Collect books, postcards, vintage stuff.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

China

Climbing the Great wall of China in Beijing ! Wahh ! Chinese people is able to make impossible things. I was also strongly impressed by the Bund in Shanghai, where the Old - colonial Shanghai is separed by the river from the new and futurist Shanghai.

Welcoming people in China, nice pandas (love the red ones !), I loved everything in China ! :)

Québec, Canada

Midnight sun in Northern Québec ! It was a bit weird. We're in Radisson, last ''French canadian'' village before the tundra, and we hanged out to a bar. To 11:30 pm, the sun was rise again. And to 2:30, we began to see the sunset.

But just to take a beer to Tuk-tu disco bar to Matagami was pretty cool ! And people in Amos, so lovely ! I love you Abitibi, the gold and copper country !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French as a second language.

I would like to improve my English language skills.

I want to learn Chinese language.
