Overview
About Me
I am Antonis,
I was born in Athens and raised on the beautiful island of Corfu. If you’re considering staying with me, I recommend reading the following:
SOME TIPS
+ Engagement: I’m looking to connect on a meaningful level, so I prefer hosting guests for 2-3 nights, allowing us the chance to really get to know one another.
+ Availability: Sometimes I may be busy with my own activities, but when I have free time, I welcome your suggestions for things we can do together. It’s important to me to connect with my guests, as spending time together enhances the Couchsurfing experience. If you’re feeling low on social energy, my hosting style may not be the best fit for you.
+ Curiosity/Open-mindedness: If you’re curious, outgoing, and enjoy intellectual conversations, we’ll get along great. A good attitude, a sense of humor, and respect for different perspectives go a long way. If you’re more of an introvert, my hosting style may not be the best fit for you.
+ Communication: Speaking English well enough to keep the conversation flowing is important, as I love hearing about my guests' unique experiences. Please keep me posted about all things important. Good communication is the key. I understand that budget constraints can be a concern, but not having a working mobile connection can create challenges for me, so I generally prefer not to host guests without one.
+ Personalized requests only: I do not accept "copy-and-paste" hosting requests.
+ Multiple Hosts: Utilizing multiple hosts can truly enrich your travel experience. However, it's important to be open about your plans, as I don’t want to be seen as a backup option. Each time I agree to host someone, I invest time and resources to prepare the space and create a welcoming environment.
+ Writing a Reference: Couchsurfing is built on trust and meaningful connections. Leaving honest and personal references helps future hosts and guests, and it’s a way to express gratitude for the experiences we’ve shared. If possible, I kindly ask that you write a reference the day you leave or the next day. A sincere, thoughtful note about your stay would mean a lot to me.
A SPECIAL NOTE FOR SOLO FEMALE TRAVELERS
As a man, I appreciate romantic interest; however, I want to clarify that sexual tension can lead to an uncomfortable environment, which I prefer to avoid. I believe in fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for everyone in the Couchsurfing community. My primary goal is to build meaningful connections and share enriching experiences.
Let’s focus on building friendships and enjoying the journey together!
A FINAL THOUGHT
Couchsurfing is about community, cultural exchange, and the joy of new friendships. If you’re looking for a host who is genuinely interested in getting to know you, swapping stories, and fostering a cultural connection, I’d love to hear from you.
Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels!
Antonis

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Let's share time - Let's travel together!
I was first introduced to Couchsurfing in 2013 by my sister, and since then, I've had the opportunity to connect with some truly amazing people. Seeing the world through the experiences of those who have lived and traveled extensively has broadened my perspective in profound ways. It’s not just about the destinations or the activities; it’s the meaningful connections with people that genuinely enrich our life journey.
Throughout my experiences, I’ve encountered remarkable individuals who have restored my faith in humanity. I deeply value Couchsurfing for the authentic friendships I’ve formed with extraordinary people who inspire me to seek out new experiences and knowledge. It’s always an honor to meet fellow travelers in my hometown and see my city through their eyes. Even though I may not be constantly on the move, every encounter with a traveler feels like a gift, introducing me to someone from a place I might not yet know.
Interests
I have a deep passion for reading and discussing ideas, particularly in the realms of politics and philosophy. I believe that engaging in thoughtful discussions helps us uncover new perspectives and find common ground.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I’m really into music that blends various genres like downtempo, trip-hop, cinematic beats, and psychedelic influences. I love how these sounds mix with elements from jazz, lounge, horror soundtracks, and even surf rock to create unique, atmospheric soundscapes. One track I really enjoy is "Words Remain" by Moderator—it's a perfect example of the kind of mood and depth I look for in music.
Movies: I’m drawn to lesser-known, thought-provoking films that challenge conventional narratives and dive into deep philosophical or emotional questions. I appreciate movies with nuanced storytelling, strong character development, and existential or intellectual themes. A favorite of mine is Babam ve Oğlum, which beautifully captures emotional depth. I also enjoy independent films, foreign cinema, and cult classics that use experimental techniques and leave room for interpretation. These films spark conversation and introspection long after the credits roll.
Books: I enjoy reading about philosophy, history, epistemology, cosmology, and political theory. One of my favorite reads is Ludwig Feuerbach and the End of Classical German Philosophy. Books that explore big questions or dive into deep historical or intellectual subjects always capture my attention. I’m constantly searching for the next thought-provoking read!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being a member of CouchSurfing since 2013.
Teach, Learn, Share
LEARN. I’m here to learn from you and explore the richness of your culture, traditions, and life experiences! I’m genuinely interested in hearing about your habits, short-term and long-term goals, hopes, and fears.
SHARE. Let’s create some amazing memories together! I’d love to share good vibes, laughter, jokes, and stories from our Couchsurfing adventures and travel experiences. After all, sharing is caring, right?
TEACH. As a physicist, I can share insights into the fundamental principles that govern our universe, making complex concepts accessible and engaging. My journey as a thinker allows me to discuss philosophical ideas and encourage critical thinking, fostering deeper understanding and exploration of various topics.
As an entrepreneur, I’m eager to share practical knowledge about building businesses, navigating challenges, and fostering innovation. With a personal library of over 1000 books, I can offer diverse perspectives on philosophy, science, and personal development, inspiring you to explore new ideas and expand your horizons. Let’s learn and grow together!

What I Can Share with Hosts
As an experienced host, my priority is to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for my guests. Here's what you can expect:
+ I love to share experiences and stories from my travels and exchange cultural insights.
+ I can cook traditional dishes from my country, and I’m always up for sharing a meal or teaching a few cooking tips.
+ As a photography/videography enthusiast, I can also help you take some great pictures. I am currently practising with my drone and always looking for special places, new techniques and angles.
+ If you're into outdoor adventures, I'd love to go hiking, motorbiking, or explore hidden gems with you.
+ But my biggest love and the reason i am a member of this community it that I’m always keen to dive into deep conversations about travel, culture, or anything that sparks curiosity.
Overall, I bring an open mind, positive energy, and a willingness to connect and learn from others. Let’s make some great memories together!
