I think that when someone shares their home with you, that's the biggest form of trust and faith they put in you. And in return, there is very little that you can do for them to reciprocate that trust. So I believe that you should be absolutely grateful to the hosts and bring a positive vibe and an enriching experience. You should be welcoming and appreciative towards the hosts which should leave a lasting and interesting impression on them.
