About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Dealing with daily routine and dreaming of other places.

ABOUT ME

I'm just a normal girl trying to find her way in this strange world;) I like foreign languages, am a little bit freak about Polish and English (and their grammars). I'm fond of snorkelling and swimming generally. Love reading books and enjoy reading popular science and travel magazines. I'm crazy about Turkey. And well, I'm a little bit maniac about giant pandas. So, all in all, just a normal girl:)

PHILOSOPHY

What is most important to me is people who I meet on my way of life. They change our lives, add something to them and it is only later that we understand what we have gained.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to be very active in Warsaw CS but now am not really sociable. But I always enjoy talking, writing and helping so don't hesitate to write to me. We can always meet.

For current events and in case of questions regarding traveling in Warsaw, meeting people here, checking out what is going on in CS Warsaw now, please check out the Warsaw CS Group:

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

- The Weekly Meetings - I used to organise them when I was an ambassador. Now not very active in the CS Warsaw..
- Sometimes I show people around Warsaw (but I'm not really experienced in it and don't know as much about my city as I would like to know)

And of course meeting sooo many travellers in Warsaw on various occasions!!;))

Interests

travelling, getting to know foreign cultures, meeting with friends, listening to people and their stories, reading books, listening to music, singing, learning languages

Music, Movies & Books

Music: Nickelback, Metallica, Turkish music generally (Emre Altug, Ragga Oktay, M. Sandal, Tarkan, Sertab Erener etc.), Celine Dion, Adele, Duffy, some individual songs of other artists.
Books: love Nora Roberts, but read also P. Coelho, W. Wharton, A. Christie, L. Jackson, E. Lowell, A. Quick, M. Ballogh, J. Quinn, E. James, etc. (but mainly romance books, both in English and Polish)
Movies: I feel sentimental about The Blue Lagoon (with Brooke Shields), The Crow (with Mark Dacascos) and The Rage: Carrie 2 (with Emily Bergl) but in general watch most willingly movies with S. Bullock, A. Jolie, K. Heigl and J. Depp;)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Two things: An evening on the desert in Marsa Alam, Egypt, with the sea, the sky, the stars and nothing else. Some metaphysical experience. And a trip over the Turkish coast, seeing all the better and less known places on the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can teach Polish, though was trained rather to teach English (at uni).
I would like to learn foreign cultures (esp. Turkish) and languages and that wouldn't be a problem here;)
And I am willing to share anything I know even if I don't know yet that it's of any value;)

Countries I've Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I've Lived In

Poland
