About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To increase the world's appreciation for marmite, the most gloriously tasty black tar imaginable!! Also to share the many great things in life with good company (marmite-lovers and -haters alike, I'm not exclusive!)

ABOUT ME

My aim in life is to enjoy as much of it as possible. Whilst pissing off as few people as possible!! I don't take myself too seriously, am chatty, friendly and open-minded. I love almost all forms of music, and spend a lot of time going to gigs, seeing djs live etc.

PHILOSOPHY

To be open-minded to all the weird and wonderful things out there in the world, to give everyone's opinions some thought before disregarding them, to not live with my head stuck up my own arse.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by spreading the word about marmite. And parma violets.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though not necessarily through this website, I met some wonderful in Australia who put me up for a couple of days in their garden, which was massively appreciated, and loads of fun. Have had a few mates of mates over from Germany come and stay with me, which has been equally as excellent.

Interests

Music (blues, ska, punk, metal, hip hop, drum and bass, classical and loads more), films (most genres, especially comedy and horror), science (yes, I'm a massive geek), reading (fiction mainly, am reading a couple of books by Iain Banks and Neil Gaiman at the mo), photography, cycling, socialising, art.

Music, Movies, and Books

See interests. I'm not ashamed to say that I queued outside the shops for the last 4 harry potter books. His dark materials trilogy by Philip Pullman is incredible, as is catch 22, 1984, the picture of dorian gray and my favourite series of books ever - the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a non-newtonian fluid paddling people for an event aimed at people with mental and physical handicaps. The response was just unbelievable, and the day some of the most fun I've ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play a little guitar and flute...also make bracelets out of cutlery...maybe something about polymers...?

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
