About Me

CURRENT MISSION
“Atithi Devo Bhava” – A guest is truly a god.

ABOUT ME
I believe actions speak louder than words, so I prefer not to describe myself too much. If you're curious to know more about me and my family, I warmly invite you to stay with us. We welcome guests not just as visitors, but as part of our own family.

When we meet in person, we will have the chance to truly understand and learn from each other. I assure you, you may arrive at my home as a guest, but you will leave as a member of our family. And when the time comes to say “Goodbye,” it won’t be easy—for any of us.

PHILOSOPHY
Life is a continuous struggle, a journey of challenges and growth. In the end, we all must leave this material world and return to the spiritual realm where true peace lies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I came to know about Couchsurfing through Nepal’s National Daily newspaper Kantipur. The idea of cultural exchange, meeting people from around the world, and offering them a place to stay truly inspired me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although I have never traveled abroad myself, I have had the wonderful opportunity to host Couchsurfers from various countries including the USA, England, Italy, Indonesia, Germany, France, Spain, Holland, Ukraine, and China.

Each of my guests brought something unique to our home, and I’m deeply grateful to them for choosing to stay with us. I truly admire their courage and curiosity to explore Nepal and experience life with a local family.

My first Couchsurfing guests were Alexandra and Eric from the USA. Since then, I’ve hosted many amazing people such as Tiziana from Spain, Tisa and Domi from Indonesia, Laetitia and Lilly from Germany, Maria from Germany, Jo-Ping from China, Emilia and Olivier from France, Mai Nguyen from Holland, Katerina from Ukraine, Rahel from Germany, Carine from France, and Ainoha from Spain.

I am sincerely thankful to each one of them. They were not just guests—they became a part of our family. I loved and respected them all deeply, and I truly hope to build similarly close and meaningful connections with future guests.

Interests

I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing my own traditions with guests. Cultural exchange is something I deeply value, and Couchsurfing has given me a way to experience the world from my own home.

I have a strong interest in history, philosophy, and storytelling. I love reading and having deep conversations about life, culture, and personal experiences. Music also plays an important part in my life—especially traditional and folk music—and I enjoy singing and listening to different styles from around the world.

I take great pleasure in cooking Nepali meals and sharing them with my guests. Preparing food for others is one of the ways I show care and hospitality. I believe that sharing a meal brings people closer together.

Spiritual life, simplicity, and respect for all living beings are central to my philosophy. I believe in living with purpose and kindness, and I always welcome the chance to learn from the people I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

MY FAVORITE MOVIES
I prefer movies that are emotional, meaningful, and based on real stories. I enjoy watching films that reflect different cultures, struggles, and human emotions. Some of my favorites include documentaries, inspirational dramas, and classic films that leave a lasting impact. I also enjoy watching Nepali movies that showcase our culture and values.

MY FAVORITE BOOKS
I like reading books on philosophy, life stories, culture, and history. I am especially drawn to books that help me understand human nature and the meaning of life. I enjoy both Nepali and English literature and sometimes read spiritual or self-development books that offer deep insight and reflection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have welcomed people from around the world into my home and made them feel like part of my family—even though I’ve never traveled abroad myself. Turning strangers into lifelong friends through genuine hospitality and cultural exchange has been one of the most amazing and heart-touching experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach others about Nepali culture, traditions, language, and local lifestyle. If you’re interested, I can also show you how to cook simple and delicious Nepali meals, and share the meaning behind our festivals and customs. I’m always open to learning new things—from your language, culture, travel experiences, to your views on life. Every guest teaches me something new, and I value those lessons deeply. I believe in sharing not only food and space, but also time, respect, and genuine human connection. Through Couchsurfing, I hope to build memories that stay in our hearts long after the journey ends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I always try to be respectful, helpful, and kind. I can share my culture, stories about Nepal, and traditional values from my way of life. If my host is interested, I’d love to teach some basic Nepali language, cook a simple Nepali dish, or share our folk songs and customs. I’m always happy to lend a hand around the house and be a part of your daily routine. I believe in mutual respect, gratitude, and open-hearted exchange. Most of all, I can offer good conversation, friendship, and memories that last beyond the stay.
