ABOUT ME

I am a creative nomad. Dance-artist, actress, poet, philosopher-contemplative, and world traveler. I also love languages...the more the merrier. I enjoy people from all walks of life but also enjoy time alone. I'm a free-spirit with an independent streak- I love defying expectation. I enjoy the combustion of two people sharing their thoughts and experiences and the inspirations of simple things- a bird arching overhead, a color in reflection, or the labyrinthe of a construction site. I think developing a philosophy of life- our personal frame for living- is one of our greatest tasks. Staying true to it is one of our greatest accomplishments. Though I consider myself an old soul, I am proud to find myself regressing more and more into a child I once was. Along these lines, laughing is by far one of my main priorities in life (I take it very seriously).

PHILOSOPHY

We are not going anywhere. Getting lost is the prime destination-where the best adventure and surprise is found. What we find along the way becomes the substance of our lives.

To question is the highest service we can render; the highest compliment we can pay to the spectacle of truth. But this does not forbid us from believing- we need to dream more and acknowledge our dreaming.

兴趣

Aside from the above, I am a creature of the sun. I love nature...hiking, doing yoga on a nice day, swimming, dancing on the beach- the ocean is a not only a great metaphor but a fun haven. I like wandering and seeing where I end up. I also enjoy improv dancing, rock-climbing, listening to good music, rich conversation, sipping tea, experiencing poignancy, finding moments of lightheartedness, wandering the great outdoors...cultivating new reasons to be alive.

I'm a big fan of essays and philosophical treatises. Paul Valery, Breyten Breytenbach, Anais Nin, Susan Sontag, and poetry of all sorts.

I love music...I'm a dancer...I must.

TV is not my priority in life, though I can enjoy a good movie from time to time.

I backpacked solo through China and Southeast Asia for eight months. Climbing the sand dunes of the Taklamakan desert was a highlight.

I enjoy sharing creative movement as a way of bringing us humans more fully alive. Movement is one of the best therapies!
