About Me

What I'm certain about is that I'm very bad at these "about me" questions.
Once I was asked "so tell me something about yourself" in an interview. I replied "well, did you look at my CV?".

I get along fine with practically everyone, and I get along super good with some people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling: because some (even if minor) human connections are what makes travels most memorable, fun, fulfilling. And to get some local insights about the place.
When hosting: to meet people, have random conversations, and to try and share something with the community. I have a big enough couch, why not make some use of it.
Some of the best experiences of my travels have been meeting interesting people, either other travelers or locals. Isn't this why we're all here? To be honest, I don't consider myself such an interesting person. But that's from my perspective. And out of scope for this question...

Interests

I like sports: climbing, cycling, hiking, swimming... I like photography, but, I admit, lately my camera pretty much sits in the closet. Note to self: have a walk with the camera. I like to cook (but only when I'm in the mood). And, of course, travelling, there's so many things/countries/cultures to discover... And listening to music, or watching a good movie.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: metal, punk, rock, some electronic stuff...
Movies: I like stories with a twist... the first one that comes to mind is... what was the name again? The one with Keyser Soze! Or Fight Club. And "food for thought" films, like the Black Mirror series.
Books: Murakami's Norwegian Wood was probably the one I liked best in the last years. Unfortunately I don't read as much as I'd want to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't think of absolutely anything amazing I've done. Amazing is a big word, isn't it?
Well, we're not all history book material, I guess...
