About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pursuit of Happiness

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back person, a bit shy and extremely absent-minded. I consider myself intellectual, but at the same time I think I'm one of the dumbest people I know. I have a tendency to be dry, cynical and sarcastic to the point of seeming hostile, but honestly I really enjoy accommodating other people. That's partly why I joined up here, I think...

My past is mistakes and learning from them. My present is going to school, avoiding being a grown up as much as possible and learning who I am. My future is anything but a real job, and hopefully on another continent.

PHILOSOPHY

I think I'm mostly existentialist, but I've sort of molded the classic views of existentialism to something slightly more objective over time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to travel around the US soon. I want to tour the country and find Open Mics and visit art galleries. Until I hit the road though I'm up to showing people around my home town; I know all sorts of places around here. My couch is currently unavailable but come the fall it'll probably be open again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been out a few times meeting people, I really look forward to going out in the future, travelling and meeting others, it's always been a lot of fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to ride in a hot air balloon for my 18th birthday, seeing the world that way was pretty interesting...downright amazing though? I'm not sure.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my goals before I die is to become fluent in another language. I'm most interested in learning French or italian, but I'm rather indecisive and will soak up any vocabulary you can teach me regardless of where it's from. I also want to learn what it's like to be truly happy. This may seem like some cheesy movie goal, but honestly I don't think I've met anyone who is, and part of this experience to me is learning that...

As far as teaching...I don't know precisely...I can teach you to some bizarre methods of cooking with vegan food, beyond that I think all my teaching comes up conversationally.
