I'm an Irish student studying in Canada for the year. I'm very outgoing and love the outdoors. I am extremely sporty and have recently started triathlon training but in the past I have swam, rowed and played hockey. Adventure and travel are important parts of my life. I explored the mountains and wild west coast of Ireland in my early years of childhood and graduated into interrailing through Europe in University. This year I aim to discover as much of what Canada has to offer as possible! Along the way I have traveled to New York, Vermont and Mexico City too!

I love travelling and discovering new cities but as a student I have to keep a tight budget while doing so. As a very outgoing person I also love to meet new people, particularly locals who can help me find my way around new cities and teach me the lay of the land. Couchsurfing seems like a perfect opportunity to make new friends and make my travelling experiences as rewarding as possible.

I love a wide variety of music but if I had to choose I think that my favorite bands would be Catfish and the Bottlemen and Sundara Karma.
It definitely depends on my mood whether I want to watch a rom-com or an intense drama, but no matter the mood I will always avoid horror films! The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Theory of Everything are probably my favorite movies for the incredible cinematography and heart-wrenching story lines.
I go through phases of non-stop intensive reading to weeks of no reading at all. Of my recent reads Atonement and a Thousand Splendid Suns have probably been my favorites. Noughts and Crosses and Harry Potter are also books which I will always love, however, unlike the true Harry Potter fanatics, I have never reread any book in full

I am a very positive and outgoing person and I think that I can bring a fun and happy atmosphere to any home into which I'm welcomed. I can share my Irish experiences and I also love to cook so I would be happy to help out in the kitchen!
