ABOUT ME

Um, well...I'm a 22 year old student and spend most of my time in Kingston-Upon-Thames where I study Business. Just spent the previous year in North Carolina on a study abroad year at UNC Charlotte, was the best year!!
Had an interesting upbringing living in Sudan and Thailand until the age of 11 then moved to Frome, Somerset which is where I would call home!
Have had a really lucky childhood with my Mum's job moving us around a lot, the travelling bug has definitely hit me and I plan on going EVERYWHERE....at some point......

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS as I was travelling the US with a friend.
Absolutely love the idea of Couch Surfing, and since the first time doing it in Portland my way of travelling really has been revolutionised. It is so uplifting to know there is still a huge number of trusting, open-minded people out there and Couch Surfing does bring these people together!
Love it!!!!!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Possibly the best thing I have ever done! Had some really really good experiences when travelling the west coast of America. Surfed in Portland, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, Mojave and San Diego. Every host has been awesomely fantastic and it has really been the best way to meet genuine people and have a slightly untraditional and personal travelling experience. Some highlights have been staying in a converted church in the Mojave Desert, staying in a 12 person Jewish Co-op in Santa Cruz, watching 7am football and croquet in the dark in San Diego, wandering around a old primary school-turned-adult playground in Portland!

If I could live anywhere it would be at Glastonbury Festival, a version that went on for eternity instead of the traditional 5 days.....

Music, Movies, and Books

Music...Impossible to say what kinds of music I like and 'everything' & 'anything' is pretty cliche. Can't stop listening to The XX or Mumford & Sons at the moment. Am in love with Florence & the Machine and Bloc Party...

Film...pretty basic in my knowledge of movie, but love Tarintino, love Ellen Page, love Fight Club, City of God is blatantly the greatest film ever made.

Books...this is something that I am not good at. Recently read Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and Therapy by David Lodge, both really different but really good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing.....um while me a friend were in LA we drove a few stranded guys from Liverpool to Washington DC after they missed their flight, we had to be back in LA within 5 days to catch our own flight home. Dan, Rana and I shared the 5400 mile roundtrip in just under 4 and half days passing through some 20-odd states..
