CURRENT MISSION

Misson 1: Travelling South America (June - September) by bus. Mission II: If I survive Mission I I want to roadtrip/hitchhike/take trains across my own country India which I want to get to know better - if you are interested in joining let me know!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can hang out with people who are visiting Chicago (and maybe host, since I have a pretty small place)... I am also looking forward to meeting interesting hosts on my upcoming travels to South America in the summer of 2013 (June - Sep). I am planning to visit Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Colombia.

Later this year-early 2014, I also want to embark on a voyage across India. I am from India and speak hindi fluently (and have some family and friends in various parts that would maybe be able to host) , but would love company along the way because I want to roadtrip/hitchhike/trains, but I'd rather go with someone, not only for safety, but because it also helps me to look at a familiar place with fresh eyes. States that I especially want to visit: Kashmir, Himachal, Sikkim, Rajasthan (I grew up here when I was very young), Gujarat, MP, Andhra (all other states are awesome too and I am open to ideas but these I really want to go to). If you have any interest and would be interested in travelling that time of the year, get in touch!

I love most Hollywood action movies and bollywood movies, no matter how terrible, they are a guilty pleasure...

favorite books: I prefer non-fiction but also love Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and an old time childhood classic, Roald Dahl

Dance - bollywood dancing, belly dancing :)

I would love to learn bits and pieces of any languages anyone has time to teach me! (especially, Spanish, Turkish and Russian)

I would also love to learn how to play any musical instruments (I play some chords on guitar, and used to play flute so I'm not completely tuneless but its been a while!)
