About Me
Hey guys! My name is Aparna and I live in NYC and work in TV production. I am also a Bharatanatyam dancer and had a brief stint doing improv. I try to dabble in a lot.
I wish I could open up my home to couchsurfers but sadly, I live in a small apartment in Brooklyn with 3 other roommates and am rarely home. I'm hoping to be able to pay it forward some day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard great things about the community and I'm new here so I decided to join to find new ways to meet people and exchange ideas while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently reading: Palestine's Children (collection of short stories by Ghassan Khanafani)
Last read: Slouching Towards Bethlehem (Joan Didion)
Up next in the queue: The Count of Monte Cristo (Alexandre Dumas)
I'm very into old/foreign movies. I've seen Paper Moon more times than I can count and I have no self control when Criterion 50% off sales come around. I still buy physical media and I'm proud.
My first concert was a Def Leppard reunion tour when I was in 8th grade when I was in the thick of my hair metal phase as a hormonal youth (my taste morphed for the better shortly thereafter). By the time I got to college in Austin, I went to shows almost once a week and went to every music festival that city offers. It was bliss.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went rock climbing in Cuba with my friend from college even though it is technically not legal over there (shhh!)
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Cuba, Greece, Iceland, India, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, South Korea, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
