About Me

COVID-19 DAYS
this is an upgraded description of me.
After a couple of years since the last time I had the chance to use and visit Couchsurfing lot of things have changed in my life.
Settled down, bought a land, raising animals.
When this infesting virus will be defied, i would love to start hosting people again.
I won't be able to travel for a while, so my biggest dream would be hosting people here in my small village not far from Rome, sharing moments in the countryside, maybe building things together or planting trees.
I want my farm to speak the different languages of the world, the ones of the people that will come to visit me: once i was tripping around, now i want to be a destination!!
All kind of people will be accepted!
Well don't expect that we will go together to disco, but we can dance in the forest following some sounds from the nature!!! :)
Not really suggested to vegans: i have donkeys, sheeps, chickens, laying hens, rabbits etc..
Btw, if you're heading to Rome, a couple of days far from the mess of a capital will be regenerating for body and mind!

OLD DESCRIPTION
I am a very curious person, interested in many aspects of life.
I love to meet people from the place that I am visiting: travelling alone is necessary to elevate ourself but sharing moments, food and talks with local people elevates us even more and makes us go back home with a full understanding of the place and complete.
I am used to get very close with the people i meet even just for a small time always due to my way of being curious.
Sometimes when i get very close i feel like couchsurfing is just a small start for great friendship and, as someone knows, i like to say that some stays get "over the couchsurfing experience".

About my view of the world, of this modern world, I need much more space and patience from readers.
But i can say that i am not happy about the direction we took: I think we are very confused, leaving in misunderstandings, following new faiths and new ways of leaving when we actually have everything our grandfathers gave us: that is the biggest gift we have received but we seem like we just don't like gifts.
It sounds very cryptic but, trust me, i really know what i am saying!

Anyways don't take me for a complicated person (not only!!): I really enjoy every aspect of life and the most different and colourful people living on this amazing planet!

CS is the only social network I use: I can't hide that, apart be in contact with people, is a way to save some money.
I say that for two main reasons: the first one is that we are becoming more and more slaves of this "social world" most of times trying to convince ourselves that is useful to get in touch with people who live far away from us and think that we need social media to know what is happening in the world: all things we can do even without this superficial information.
The second one is that in social media we only share the good part of us: it never happened to me to see someone posting something about the negative and wrong things we do: arguing with our parents, ignoring people begging in the street, have refused to help someone in need.
All the things we can do with social media, humans used to do since centuries with the difference that today we are extremely selfish (does the word selfie ring you any bell?) and we need to look like someone who is simply famous. We want to show ourself as stars when we must just be our own guiding star!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i love to get in touch with local people lifestyle and understand how this modern world is changing our preferences.
I think that hospitality (not just on couchsurfing) makes us better people since it starts a sort of device where we always do our best to treat our guest better and better when we become hosts.
I love when my host find some time to take me around in order to understand the culture and live a full experience of the place i am visiting.

Interests

Culture and local people lifestyle.
Most of my interest is focused on food and issues due to globalization.
Food means culture: trhough populations approach to food we can learn a lot about their history, isn't it?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had an accident in india with a Royal Enfield motorbike: i've bitten a goat on the highway...
thank to that goat for the unusual indian hospitals tour in the next two weeks.

Hospitality of Moroccans.
More than other things i have friends who did and will always let me sleep in their carpet shop.

Make sometimes people proud of me :P

Teach, Learn, Share

Once a friend told me
"If you want to be loved, be lovely"
and that's the way it should be for all of us

What I Can Share with Hosts

As surfer i like to take my host out for dinner: food makes easier to me to say thank you.
Sometimes also cooking for my hosts and explain many things of italian cuiosine and culture (make many stereotypes fall!)
As host I want to show my guest the place I am living with my own eyes and share, as much as I can, my experiences: just like a full immersion!
