About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To laugh so hard I pee my pants a little
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, a city known for its rain, microbreweries, bike advocacy and local bands. You could say I look for these things in each city I inhabit, along with art exhibitions, parks, dilapidated buildings and quality whisky. I haven’t travelled much outside of the States, however I did make a big move to Amsterdam a year ago for graduate school. I haven’t adventured much outside of Holland, but the next few years are bound to change that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted a few travelers in Portland. Offered them my spare bikes, spare beers and spare Murphy beds. And since I have been living abroad, I still keep the friends I have stayed with throughout my travels and still drink wine on Sunday with those I have met in my own city.
Interests
Things that make me weak in the knees: Kentucky Bourbon, leg of duck confit, Italian, French and Japanese track bikes, men carrying bouquets of flowers while riding bikes, buildings that lean to the side due to age, Mexican muralists and photographers and Arrested Development.

Music, Movies, and Books
The tops film wise: The Fall, Guillermo del Toro films, Alfonso Cuarón films, Fernando Meirelles films and stop motion flicks. Rocking out to: The Wackness Soundtrack, Danger Mouse, Tunng, Led Zeppelin, We Have Band and The Rascals.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am continuously amazed by communicating with the lack of spoken language. I have had more valuable and strangely memorable conversations with too much eye contact, hand gestures and head-nods. I know that you are going to ask for that chair before you even open your mouth. If not, I like guessing what you are saying, hence my smile.
