I'm a comics artist, living at the moment in lovely Halifax and working part-time as a one-on-one support worker with children and as a birth doula. I play some ukulele and accordion, love my bicycle, and enjoy caffeinated beverages, meandering conversation and dancing to good tunes.

One of the main things that I love about travelling is meeting people who I wouldn't normally get the chance to meet, in places that I wouldn't normally be, and couchsurfing makes these things possible. I've made some wonderful friends while hosting at home and while hosted on the road. I also love the idea of fostering community in a way that isn't based on the exchange of money.
