My name is April and I'm a kiwi girl from New Zealand. I've been a Paediatric Nurse for 9 years. I quit my job last year 2015 to travel.

I am friendly, humble, down-to-earth and like to have a good laugh. I love exploring the new and to like learn about different people and cultures.

I try to do Hatha Yoga everyday.
I know some piano....I'm trying to re-learn it these days. But difficult when you are traveling. Lol.
I've played percussion for my samba band in Auckland.
I have also been practicing Aikido for about 11 years.

All kinds of Jazz like Nina Simone and Louis Armstrong. Swing Jazz. Ethiopian Jazz like Mulatu Astatke.
Big Bands and Balkan Brass - friggin blow my mind!
Funk. Blues.
Samba - something about Samba brings a smile to my face.
Classical Music. Chopin is my favourite.
Oldies but goodies like Dire Straits, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, ELO, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Steely Dan, Carole King, Fleetwood Mac and Eagles.

Books =
I like a good novel. Just finished Gabriel Garcia Marquez's books (hundred years of Solitude and Love in the time of Cholera),
Shantaram, was my favourite travel book.

I traveled 19 countries in 6 months in 2015. And I volunteered in 3 countries during this; nursing in Zimbabwe and Laos, and built houses in Peru.
