I'm transitioning from successful construction based business owner to a bohemian creative business owner, from wife and mother to a single explorer.

Challenging myself to do uncomfortable things, scary things, new things is at the top of my to-do list. Hitch-hiking, zip lining, and couch surfing are all on there.

Authenticity is important to me and I speak boldly, but happily accept other view points. I'm friends with rich and poor people of many nationalities and ages, conservatives and liberals.

I have been both successful and homeless. Going to Costa Rica to live for three months has been less expensive than living "at home" and I plan to maintain this gypsy life style for awhile, even if I win the lottery. I love it.

As a self-employed creative, my income fluctuates. I use the dips to motivate me higher, and sometimes I have to wait for payments to transfer from Paypal to my bank account. Couchsurfing is a backup plan for those dips, yes, but it is also an opportunity to meet interesting people, connect on a deeper level, and help them as well.

I have done photo shoots, graphic art services, and website design as barter for food and lodging. I'm also a pretty good cook that cleans up after herself.

I went on an extreme hike in La Fortuna Costa Rica, 13 K of very steep, difficult terrain, pulling myself up with roots, then swimming in the lake at the top of the mountain, followed by swimming in an idyllic waterfall, and drinking adult beverages in hot springs surrounded by candles. That was pretty epic.
