CURRENT MISSION

My mission, if I choose to accept it (which I do) is to travel the world and meet as many amazing people and see as many amazing places as possible.

ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old female from Melbourne, Australia. I recently finished a three month contract working for an organisation recruiting students for volunteer holidays. I continued my travels solo and went across western europe, a tiny bit of eastern europe then followed what was left of the sun on this side of the world to Morocco. I am now looking forward to spending two months in South eastern Uganda volunteering in a foster home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never couch surfed before. I am assuming it involves great balance and a good understanding of couch-tides.

Interests

I love reading and writing, experiencing cultures vastly different from my own, meeting people with a quirky sense of humor who love an adventure and discussing my passions; history, museums and art galleries, art in all its forms, literature, politics, religion. I love to go out and party on occcasion, I love learning new things, experiencing new cultures, alone time (very important), reading, facebook and communication, fantastic food, hot weather and a good book or two.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I can listen to anything, but I am especially partial to pop punk and punk rock. My favourite bands of all tiem are CAKE and SUBLIME.

Books: Love David Foster Wallace and Zadie Smith at the moment. Love books on the religion/atheism debate, politics, history, sociology and anthropology. Love a good Matthew Reilly.

Movies: TOO MANY TO LIST. Science Fiction and fantasy, action, thrillers. Favourite movie of all time is JAWS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting a friend I made in a hostel in the UK, at her parents house in Slovakia. They spoke little English, but I have never felt so welcome. They cooked a traditional Slovak meal, served home made wine and we went horse riding in the afternoon. It was one of the best experiences of my travels so far. That real cultural experience I have long for since I was a tike - this was it. More of this would be a dream come true. Thank you Adriana, you completed my trip!
